One of the best things about writing fantasy is building the world where your story takes place in. There is nothing better than seeing what you created come to life, whether it be your characters or the beasts that roam it but that can only happen after devoting a lot of time to making it happen.
The central purpose of Viernor is to help make the process of taking the imaginary world you’ve long thought about and breathing life into it which can feel overwhelming, both for first-timers or veterans. Each one of our articles features an aspect about worldbuilding such as cities or deserts so you can take it easy and build it at your own pace.
It is for this purpose that the website went live two years ago. We at Viernor know that building an incredible world that your audience can’t get enough of takes time and a lot of planning and we help you by breaking it into bite-sized pieces with our treasure trove of articles which you can find on our blog page.
Creating a fantasy world should be fun and exciting, not scary. It should be something you eagerly look forward to whether you write it on paper or on your computer and the more you do it, the more of a connection you build with it. It goes from being a single though to a full-blown world where you just can’t get enough it!
After two years of being live, the website is in a good position for its age. Not many last for two years. Plenty don’t last this long for a number of reasons and sadly too many website creators give up too soon after devoting precious time to getting their websites off the ground.

A fantastic addition to the website is our handy-dandy Beginner’s Guide. If you’re new to creating an imaginary world, that page has a series of articles to help you hit the road running. Every great journey starts with just one little step.
Just as with building a fantasy world, there’s always room for improvement and we are constantly seeking to make it better for our readers. We value the time you spend on the website and we want it to be one you enjoy coming back to again and again.
Two years ago, the website went live and we started bringing you content that you can use to help realize the world you’ve always wanted to build but were unsure where to start. We hope that the articles Viernor’s published over these two years have helped you.
While we’ve lasted two years, we are also looking to the future. The goal of Viernor is to help you build fantasy worlds and that is one we will always be striving towards. Creating imaginary worlds will never go out of style and people love learning all about them!
One thing you can definitely count on is seeing even more articles. We’re in the middle of exploring the various types of fantasy occupations, so expect to see plenty more come out. There’s also ideas for future articles in the pipeline so keep your eyes open!
