Hello there everyone! Today is Labor Day, the day where we celebrate all our workers. From entrepreneurs starting new businesses to plumbers and mechanics, we owe them a great deal. We honor them by celebrating this special day for without them, we wouldn’t have all the things we have today.
We Americans honor them by having parties and parades and special events in our major cities. While Labor Day is meant to thank all our workers, it’s also a day to spend time with our family and cherished friends. Pool parties, barbecues, and boat parades are just several of the many ways we get together and socialize. Spending time with those you care about is precious.
Changing Seasons
Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer for us Americans. While we all love swimming and all the outdoor activities you do during the summer months, by the time Labor Day rolls around, we’re ready to put summer behind us — and don’t forget the heat! When it’s Labor Day, everyone’s sick of the heat and high humidity and is looking forward to cooler weather.
This holiday begins the process of transitioning from summer to fall. With fall comes cooler temperatures and pleasant weather. Leaves begin to change colors, sparking a brilliant display of vibrant colors before they fall off the trees. The lovely weather gets people out biking or any other activity before it becomes too cold.
It won’t be long until the calendar rolls around to October. Before you know it, it’ll already be Halloween and the kids will be trick-or-treating. Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner after Halloween.

There are many ways to commemorate this holiday. Regardless of what you do today to observe Labor Day, keep in mind why we celebrate it. Get together with the people important in your life and just enjoy spending time with them.
